Frequently Asked Questions
Verity is an engagement-aware AI embedded within the Caseware Cloud platform. It works
across all SE applications and provides context-aware guidance based on the content and context of your engagement.
Verity assists with specific, defined tasks within the platform, such as drafting observations, summarizing findings, flagging anomalies in data, and suggesting procedures based on engagement context. It surfaces relevant information faster; it does not make professional judgments or sign off on work.
Verity is designed to handle time-consuming, repetitive tasks so you can focus on the judgment-intensive work that matters most. It works within your existing Caseware workflows—you do not need to learn a separate tool or change how you structure your engagements.
Verity draws on the content and context within your engagement in Caseware, combined with its training on professional audit and accounting knowledge.
Rather than providing generic responses, Verity draws on your engagement context—including trial balance data, financial statements, prior-year information, and the framework selected at setup—to provide guidance that reflects the standards applicable to each engagement. Where authoritative knowledge bases are available, Verity draws on current standards directly. For other frameworks, it leverages and references its underlying model training, which may not always reflect the most recently issued or relevant pronouncements, so as with any outputs, should be verified.
Yes. You can see your own chat history within the engagement, by expanding Verity to fullscreen. Your chat history isn't retained for anyone else, so another user opening the same engagement won't be able to see or retrieve your chats. Keep in mind this is only a visual record on your screen; it isn't stored within the engagement or within Verity, so Verity itself can't summarize or recall past conversations, similar to chat history in other AI tools.
Verity currently runs on Claude Sonnet 4.6.
